A website can be made from scratch or there are many sites on the web that provide you with a template. This is what I did about 6 years ago, click on the picture above. You can choose to build one from scratch using HTML codes, but I will only be able to help you a little. I suggest that if this is your first website you start with www.webs.com if you have only a little experience. You can use html with webs.com but there are also templates available to get you started.

Other great sites that I just discovered are http://www.wetpaint.com/, http://www.freehostia.com/, http://www.free-webhosts.com/, limedomains, rackspace, http://www.weebly.com/, & ehosting.

There are many other sites that you may with to use but you must pass it by me first. If you already have a webpage I would like to see it and you must add the following criteria to it in order to obtain the full marks.

WEBSITE EVALUATION

1. Resume Page: Information, Organization, Structure, Consistency, and Appeal.

2. Hobbies or Interests Page: Pictures with CAPTIONS or EXPLANATIONS. NOT SPORTS!!

3. Favorite School Projects, Poems, Essays Page: Information, Variety, Uniqueness. Minimum 2.

4. Sports Page: Categories, Descriptions, and Photos.

5. Town/Province Page: Some pics and descriptions of where you come from and even where you plan to go.

6. News Page: Describe three current events from 2010 and two historical events that meant something to you.

7. WebLinks Page: At least 5 links and brief descriptions of sites that you think others should know about.

8. Free Page: Whatever you like that I may not have considered?

Each section is worth 5 marks for a total of 40 marks.
