For all the gamers out there. You love today’s high-tech games…but where are their origins? This project will help you understand the basics of how games are made. Developing your game takes time as you will find out. Create a folder in the C:drive with the title “RPG YOUR NAME”. The is a lot of room for creativity the minimum expectations are:
RPG maker
1. A story line must exist, there should be a main character and a plot that has a specific quest or objective relevant to the story.
2. Minimum 5 maps.
2. Minimum 3 cities.
3. Minimum 10 custom weapons and 10 armor, you change the stats and names.
4. Minimum 10 custom spells, again change the stats and names.
5. For each zone a corresponding audio background must be used.
6. There should be a few dungeons with bosses, switches, and puzzles.
7. Consider including secret passages, hidden monsters, traps, inns, shops, and potions.
8. Weather conditions should change.
9. Attempt to have a 3D feel by the use of tiles.
10. Include humor, graphical detail, and make it interesting for your peers to play!!
Professional Users (earn extra marks)
1. Create Professions: Eg. A miner takes ore from the mine and takes it to a furance and crafts a sword like a blacksmith would.
2. Original Splash Logo: Eg. This appears at the start up of the game…title screen.
3. Add custom scripts: Eg. Alternative battle views.
