GoogleDocsForms
Now that we’ve got the basics of Google Docs (working online, sharing, not using Microsoft Office!) let’s move on to the Forms feature.
Follow these steps:
- Click the ‘Create new’ button and select form.
- Give a title, write some simple instructions and begin writing your questions.
- Your form must have the following questions types: text, multiple choice, check boxes, choose from a list and scale. You must have a least five questions.
- Write a brief form/survey on a topic of your choice (past time, music, travelling, your future). Have some fun with it and try to make the questions as funny as possible. Click here to see an example of a form/survey I’ve made for next year’s ski trip. I hope your’s turns out a little more exciting than mine
- You can easily move, edit, duplicate and delete survey questions.
- Select a cool ‘Theme’.
- Under ‘More actions’ find the embed code for your form. Post it on the home page of your blog. Make any final adjustments to your form.
- The trick now is to get as many people to complete your form as possible. You must have at least 20 responses to get full marks. The student with the most responses will win a prize. There are a few ways that you can get the link out to your friends. You can copy that link into an email and send it to people in your contacts list, post it as your facebook status, post it on a blog (if you have one) or send it out on a tweet. Whatever you like, but the point is to get it to as many people as possible.
