Audacity
PART A : Debriefing
Write a new post on your blog answering the following questions:
1. What is audacity?
2. Audacity allows many sound file formats to be imported, including WAV, AIFF, MP3, and Ogg Vorbis. Explain each of these file types in more detail.
3. Watch the following video, and in your own words what is Podcasting?
This is the beginning of our PODCASTING UNIT.
PART B : Your Main Project
Step 1: Create a Flowchart for your topic that has 5 branches or episodes, each with 3 main points of discussion in WORD. Below is an example.

Step 2: Create the Manuscript of the Dialogue…in other words write out the text for what you are going to say in WORD.
Step 3: You will create a 5 part podcast series on any topic you like so long as there is no explicit lyrics, violent, racist, or sexual topics. Each podcast should be a minimum of 1 minute and maximum of 2 minutes. Each podcast must be linked to each other and contain a title that has Episode 1, 2, etc.
Step 4: Upload your podcast (mp3s) to www.podomatic.com…you will have to create a new user account.
Step 5: Your podcast series must be linked to your blog on the sidebar under a new Category Section called Podcast Series.
Due Date/Timeline
You will be expected to create 1 podcast per class, with 1 class to tidy up any lose ends, so the deadline for the entire series will be 6 classes after the Audacity tutoring is complete.
The evaluation of each podcast will be based upon Clarity of Voice and Sounds, Use of Editing features within Audacity, Continuity within Series, Topic Appeal, and Originality.
